Mangalurean entrepreneur, community stalwart Raphael D’Souza passes away in Oman

Bantwal, Feb 10: Raphael D’Souza (1953–2026) was a widely respected business personality, generous benefactor, and a strong pillar of the Mangalorean Konkani community in the Sultanate of Oman.

Born on November 25, 1953, Raphael D’Souza was the beloved son of the late John Francis D’Souza and the late Carmine D’Souza. He was a devoted husband to Florine D’Souza, a loving father to Adolf /Jocelyne, and Alden / Mannya, and a proud grandfather to Liana and Reeva. He was also a cherished brother to Fredrick/ Irene, Agnes/the late Felix, Fr Stanislaus, Juliana/ Clifford, and Marceline /Joseph.

Raphael D’Souza passed away on Tuesday, February 10 leaving behind a legacy of integrity, service, and compassion that touched countless lives across borders.

He was the founder and owner of Muscat Golden Services LLC, a well-established and trusted enterprise in Oman for over three decades. Under his leadership, the company grew into a prominent name in cold storage equipment supplies and installations, freezer truck body manufacturing, oilfield equipment supply, safety equipment. His business journey was marked by professionalism, reliability, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Beyond business, Raphael D’Souza was deeply involved in community service. Known for his generosity and quiet philanthropy, he consistently extended support to community initiatives, individuals in need, and cultural causes, earning him deep respect within the Mangalorean Konkani community and beyond.

His life stands as a testament to hard work, humility, and service to society. Raphael D’Souza will be remembered not only for his entrepreneurial success but also for his warm heart, leadership, and the positive impact he made on the lives of so many.

Funeral arrangements:

Viewing and prayers will be held at his residence Flora Villa, Church Compound, Kulshekar, Mangaluru from 11 am on Thursday, February 12. And thereafter, the funeral cortege leaves residence for Most Holy Spirit Church, Agrar, Bantwal at 2:00 pm followed by burial at 4:00 pm.
