Mangaluru, Feb 15: The first schedule of shooting of the Kannada film Vadiraja Valaga Mandali (VVM), produced under the banner of MNR Productions and helmed by Dr M N Rajendra Kumar, has been successfully completed. Continuous shooting for the film began on December 3 and concluded with the completion of its first phase.
The film was shot for 20 days at Handadi Tenku Mane in Brahmavar, eight days at Kolambe in Bajpe, and 14 days in and around Mulki.

Featuring the authentic flavour of coastal Kannada, a fresh storyline, and a distinctive narrative style, the final phase of shooting for VVM is scheduled to take place in the last week of February. Post-production work will be carried out during March and April, and the film is slated for release in May.
Director Shashiraj Rao Kavoor stated that producer Dr M N Rajendra Kumar readily gave his approval after listening to just one thread of the story and ensured that the shooting progressed smoothly without any obstacles. Co-producer Jayaprakash Tumbe has also extended strong support to the project.
Naveen D Padil plays the lead role in the film. Prakash Tuminadu, Deepak Rai Panaje, Mime Ramdas, and Pushparaj Bolar have portrayed diverse characters. Shobharaj Pavoor, Gopinath Bhat, Nithin Tumbe, Vinayak Jappu, Lakshmana Kumar Mallur, Yatheesh Baikampady, Gopal Shetty, Ranjan Bolur, along with several new talents, have been introduced through this film. Actors Arjun Vedanth, who has acted in Telugu films, and coastal talent Atharva Prakash appear as the male leads, while Venya Rai and Tanvi Rao play the female leads.
Renowned cinematographer Chandrashekharan, known for his work in successful Tamil films, has handled the cinematography. Music director Manikanth Kadri has composed the music, with the film featuring five songs. Editing is by Nithin Shetty, and choreography has been handled by Vinayak Acharya.
Sharing his thoughts, producer Dr M N Rajendra Kumar said it had been his long-cherished dream to present a wholesome, entertaining, and culturally refined film that would appeal to the people of Karnataka, and that dream is now becoming a reality through Vadiraja Valaga Mandali.
Director Shashiraj Rao Kavoor also said that when he informed Divine Star Rishab Shetty about personally writing the story, screenplay, lyrics, and directing the film, the actor warmly wished him success, which greatly boosted his morale. He added that noted filmmakers and personalities such as Raj B Shetty, J P Tuminadu, Dr Devadas Kapikad, Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, and Prakash Pandeshwar have also extended their best wishes to the team.
