Jaipur, Feb 17: A horrific hit-and-run incident in Jaipur on Tuesday claimed the lives of two young men after a speeding Scorpio SUV rammed into their scooter, crushing them under the vehicle.

CCTV footage of the incident shows the SUV hurtling down the road before colliding with the two-wheeler, sending the riders flying onto the road. The victims, identified as Virendra and his companion, sustained grievous injuries and were declared dead at the spot.

Eyewitnesses said the driver did not stop to help and fled immediately after the collision, leaving behind a scene of chaos and panic. Locals rushed to the spot and alerted the police.

Police have registered a case and launched a manhunt to trace the Scorpio driver. Officials said CCTV footage from nearby cameras is being examined to identify the vehicle and track its movement.

Authorities have appealed to the public to share any information related to the vehicle or the accused driver to assist in the investigation.
