Panaji, Feb 21: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday distributed appointment offer letters to children of freedom fighters and to candidates selected as Assistant State Tax Officers and State Tax Inspectors.
He also addressed the OHSSAI Global Conclave 2026 organised by the OHSSAI Foundation, highlighting governance initiatives and administrative reforms.

Earlier, on February 15, the Chief Minister met and interacted with municipal councillors of the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation in Kerala. Congratulating them on their historic performance, he praised the trust reposed in the BJP by the people of Kerala to serve municipal bodies in the state.
He said the mandate reflected that the message of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Antyodaya was reaching the last mile in Kerala. During the interaction, he shared key initiatives undertaken by the Government of Goa in municipal governance, including effective waste management practices and municipal area development projects.
Mr Sawant also discussed strengthening urban infrastructure and citizen-centric administration, and extended his best wishes to the councillors for a successful and impactful tenure in serving the residents of Thiruvananthapuram.
In a post on X, he expressed pleasure at meeting the councillors and reiterated that their victory marked a significant moment in Kerala’s political landscape.
Earlier this week, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari and Mayor of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi Raja Iqbal Singh welcomed 115 newly elected Kerala councillors at New Delhi Railway Station.
Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation Mayor V V Rajesh told the media that the victory in Kerala was the result of decades of struggle against communism. He expressed confidence that the local body election outcome would reflect in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the state.
