Mangalore, Mar 1: The members of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Thursday March 1 protested against the central government for increasing the OBC reservation for Muslims to 4.5 percent, and also against union corporate affairs minister Veerappa Moily for calling Bajrang Dal 'devils and evil spirit'.

At the protest organized in front of the DC office, VHP leader M B Puranik condemned the statement by Veerappa Moily and said that his comment against Bajrang Dal was unwarranted and unacceptable.

Jagadish Shenava pointed out that the issue was between Congress and BJP and not Bajrang Dal. He also said that the group will not allow Veerappa Moily to step into Mangalore again.

Bajrang Dal and VHP members Manohar Tulajaram, Gopal Kuttar, Sharan Pumpwell, Harish Amtadi and Jagadeesh Shenava and others took part in the protest.

Sharan Pumpwell in his address demanded an apology from Moily and sarcastically added that Moily had been transported to Chikkaballapur (of which he is the MP) and would not be allowed to come back to Mangalore. He strongly condemned the minister and said that the Congress and the Congressmen are devils.

They also condemned the central government for approving 4.5% internal reservation for Muslims under the total reservation of 22%, and also planning to increase it to 9%.

They mentioned four main points in their memorandum:

-   To completely reject Ranganath Mishra's report
-   To stop the facilities given to Christians and Muslims which had to be instead given to the backward class of the society
-   To stop reservations on the basis of caste and to set reservations in the terms of financial background
-  To introduce special schemes for the welfare of Hindus

An effigy of Veerappa Moily was burnt at the protest. A large number of members and supporters were present.

When I look at the pictures, I can see not a sinle soul on these pictures looks civilised human being. Someone has rightly said in this forum, that take out this menace from our society, and eradicate this Bajrangis from the grasss root level. These are the uncivilised thugs who are jobless and nothing much to do at their homes, and a utter failure in the society. Mangalore belongs to all those who embrace this city to live and visit. I wonder why these thugs are still at large in our society and why there is no law enforcement being adopted on these people for disturbing the peace in the society!!!

This resevation policy is a never ending dellima. No party is dares to comment against reservations. Reservation policy was introduced by our law makers only for first 5 years after independence, just to uplift the down throaden. But even after 65 years of indepence this reservation list enlarges. Eerybody wanted to be in reservation list. There should be full-stop atleast now. Now coming to the point, if Congress is woowing minority, what about BJP. In karnataka, Yeddi's govt. sanctioned huge amount to Hajj piligrims. Even a crore was sanctioned to Ullal Uroose. Now our CM sanctioned compensation to victims of Russel market fire tragedy. After all whose money these are, it is tax payers money. So its evident that all parties are same. Everybody wanted to please bc/minority. We,people are fools.

Why you people didnot protest while 3 ministers of our State government who caught by media while watching XXX film inside the Vidhan Saudha? If you truely followers of Hanuman a ardent devotee of Shree Ram, then you suppose to protest against those ministers who watched porn clips. I think Hanuman also feel shame on you, because he have such kind of followers like you and also Hanuman faught against the evil Ravan, not for evil.

In India out of 80.5% Hindus about 25% of those belonging to SC & ST and about 40% are Other BC.
1% upper caste inherited majority of India’s civil service, economy and active politics. Thus the caste system virtually leaves lower caste Hindus in to an oppressed majority in India’s power structure.
The wealth of 36 families amounts to $ 191 billion, which is one-fourth of India’s GDP. In other words, 35 elite families own quarter of India’s GDP by leaving 85% ordinary Hindu community as poor. And 10% of the upper class claims perhaps 80% of the jobs in the new economy, in sectors such as software, biotechnology, and hotel management.
More than 90 % consider police and political parties as the worst corrupt institutions. Corruption is a large tax on Indian growth it delays ution, raises costs and destroys the moral fiber.
Please note, about 2.3% Christians in the Indian population cater to 20% of all primary education in India, 10% of all the literacy and community health care, 25% of all existing care of destitute and orphans, 30% of all the handicapped, lepers and AIDS patients, etc. Still without any clue, the Sangh Parivar goons blow their trumpet.
According to the National Human Rights Commission-2004, there were 3,32,112 prisoners in Indian jails out of which 2,39,146 were Under-trial prisoners i.e. more than 70%. India’s jails hold a disproportionate number of the country’s minority Muslims, a sign of discrimination and alienation from the Hindu majority. A large part of police officers, Indian attorneys and judges appear regularly on the events organized by notorious Hindu militant organisations like RSS, VHP & BD. When a large number of Muslims were killed in the past few years across the country and the numbers are on a steady rise still none are concerned about it. Sachar Committee report admitted that out of 200 million Muslims, 138 million are severely underrepresented in government employment, including Public Sector Units.
    Jai Hind!

Safron side is has gone overboard. However, the root cause for all their protest is the anti-constitutional divide and rule policy of the Congress Party. Are they supposed to keep quiet when they are abused by so called leaders who are known for scams in the past (for ex:Moily vs Baire gowda in 80's).

The root cause of all mess in India today is Foreigner led Congress.

I would support BD in this case.

Is BD trying to re-write constitution? Are they trying to say that all those who participated in the freedom movement are not as wise as the BD today?

Taking care of minorities, weaker sections of society is the job of majority. They must be magnanimous in thoughts, words and deeds, to show to the world, how the most secular country is functioning.

As long as BD, VHP, SRS and the like, keep the young men occupied in this district, there will be shortage of labour manpower. Hotel industry, construction industry all are forced to hire labour which is inadequate or is extremely expensive.

While we are pre-occupied with minority, christians and mulsims, Mangalore is taken over physically by 'you know who'.

It won't be long, before we lose our natural identity, and acquire the new identity of BD/VHP/SRS.
