Adelaide, Feb 22: In Women’s Cricket, India defeated Australia by 17 runs in the third and final T20 International of the three-match series at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday, clinching the series 2-1.
Chasing a target of 177 runs set by India, Australia were restricted to 159 for nine in their allotted 20 overs.

For India, Shreyanka Patil and Shree Charani picked up three wickets each, while Arundhati Reddy claimed two. Renuka Singh Thakur also chipped in with one wicket to help seal the win.
Earlier, opting to bat first, India posted a competitive 176 for six in 20 overs. Smriti Mandhana led the charge with a superb 82 off 55 balls, anchoring the innings with a fluent knock. Jemimah Rodrigues provided solid support, scoring 59 runs off 46 deliveries.
The victory handed India the three-match series 2-1 against Australia on their home soil.
