Udupi: 20-year-old II PUC girl student reported missing from Katapady

Udupi, Feb 23: A 20-year-old girl pursuing her second year Pre-University (PU) course has been reported missing from Katapady, police said.

The missing student has been identified as Deepa Suresh Lamani (20), a native of Basavana Bagewadi taluk in Vijayapura district. She was residing in a rented house at Anegudde in Katapady while studying at a city college.

According to the police, Deepa took leave from college on February 20 and left her residence, but failed to return thereafter. A missing person complaint has been registered and efforts are under way to trace her.

Deepa is described as being 5 ft 6 inches tall, of brown complexion and medium build. She can speak Kannada, Lambani and Hindi.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts has been requested to contact Kaup police station.
