Uttarakhand native held with MDMA, LSD worth Rs 84,500 in Canacona

Canacona, Feb 26: A man hailing from Uttarakhand and currently working in Palolem was arrested by Canacona Police Station on Tuesday for allegedly possessing MDMA and LSD valued at Rs 84,500.

Police identified the accused as Subu Panwar, residing at Ourem in Canacona. He was apprehended during a narcotics raid conducted at Kindlebhag–Tarir between 12.16 pm and 1.58 pm, following specific information about drug-related activity.

According to police sources, Panwar was allegedly found in possession of 6.35 grams of MDMA and seven LSD blots weighing 0.15 grams. Investigators suspect that the accused had arrived at the location to deliver the contraband to prospective customers.

A case has been registered against him under Sections 22(b) and 22(c) of the NDPS Act, 1985.

Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Rajshekhar Reddy of Canacona Police Station.
