Hyderabad, Feb 27: K Kavitha, founder of Telangana Jagruthi and daughter of former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, on Friday welcomed the court’s decision clearing her in the Delhi excise policy case, asserting that “truth triumphs.”
Reacting to the ruling of a Delhi court, Kavitha posted “Satyameva Jayate” (truth alone triumphs) on social media. Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad later, she claimed that the case was “foisted” against her as part of a “political vendetta.”

“The Judiciary cut through the web of lies in the Delhi excise policy case,” she said.
Kavitha was arrested in March 2024 in connection with the alleged excise policy scam. She was lodged in Tihar Jail before being granted bail by the Supreme Court of India on August 29, 2024, in corruption and money laundering cases linked to the matter.
With the latest court relief, Kavitha maintained that the truth had prevailed and reiterated that the allegations against her were politically motivated.
