The chairman felicitated them on behalf of all the customers of the Belman Branch as a mark of gratitude for their continued patronage and commitment.
In his presidential address, chairman Sahakara Ratna Anil Lobo emphasised that the remarkable Rs 10 crore milestone achieved within the first year is the result of collective effort, visionary planning, and, above all, the unwavering trust of customers. He stated that the bank’s primary intention is to provide quick and efficient service to its customers. He recalled asking the branch manager how many customers were expected to attend the programme. He confidently assured him that more than 150 customers would be present, and she proved it right. He appreciated her efforts in inviting the customers and organizing such a large gathering.
He stressed that customers must approach the bank with trust, and in return, the bank must provide trustworthy service—understanding their needs, resolving their problems, and ensuring satisfaction. He stated that it is because of the strong support and trust of the customers that the bank was able to achieve this milestone.
The bank reached the Rs 10 crore mark in the month of December itself and has now crossed the Rs 12 crore milestone. He congratulated the customers for this achievement and described them as the true brand ambassadors of the bank. He remarked that if a satisfied customer shares their positive experience with ten others, the bank will naturally grow without the need for advertisement.
He further stated that when the present management took charge of the bank in 2018, some members doubted whether they could lead the bank to greater heights. Taking this as a challenge, the management worked with determination and successfully fulfilled the promises made to the members, overcoming all obstacles over the years.
Under the current leadership, the bank has expanded its branches from 16 to 21 and has plans to increase the number to 25 by opening new branches at Deralakatte and Katapady, and by exploring opportunities in Honnavara and Mangaluru. Additionally, 15 new ATMs have been opened. He also announced that UPI and Google Pay services will be implemented within the next two to three months.
He concluded by reiterating that the bank’s growth depends on the continued trust of its customers. He thanked all the customers for their presence, support, and confidence in the bank, and requested their continued cooperation in the future. He also expressed special gratitude to the senior customers present for their strong commitment and loyalty.
