Mangaluru, Mar 4: A solemn Nudinamana (tribute programme) was organized at the Srinivas University Campus, Mukka, to honor the revered Chancellor, Dr C A A Raghavendra Rao, who passed away on February 17. The programme was held on the Srinivas University Mukka premises, where faculty members, dignitaries, students, and well-wishers gathered to pay their heartfelt respects.
Born on October 16, 1937, Dr Raghavendra Rao was regarded as a guiding light in the field of education and played a pivotal role in shaping Srinivas University into a reputed institution. His visionary leadership, unwavering commitment to academic excellence, and dedication to value-based education were remembered with deep reverence.








Several eminent personalities were present on the occasion and offered Pushpanjali to the departed soul. Among them were: Dr Bharath Shetty Y, MLA, Mangaluru North (Surathkal Constituency), Gurme Suresh Shetty, MLA, Kaup Constituency, Dr A J Shetty, president, A J Group of Institutions, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president, Kalkura Prathistana, Sudhakar Rao Pejavara, social leader, Harikrishna Punaroor, president, Punaroor Prathistana, Dr Annayya Kulal, academician were present.
Family members of the chancellor were also present and offered floral tributes. his wife Vijayalakshmi R Rao, his son Dr A Srinivas Rao, his daughter Padmini Kumar, and his daughter-in-law Prof Er Mitra S Rao. The family expressed their gratitude to all those who gathered to honor his legacy and shared fond memories of his life devoted to education and service.
Speakers at the event highlighted Dr Raghavendra Rao’s immense contributions to society, his strong ethical values, and his lifelong mission of empowering students through quality education. The atmosphere was filled with emotion as prayers were offered for the eternal peace of his soul.
