Mumbai, Mar 5: The legal comedy-drama Maamla Legal Hai is gearing up for its second season, promising more courtroom chaos, humour and quirky cases. The series features Naila Grewal, Ravi Kishan and Nidhi Bisht in key roles.
Actor and politician Ravi Kishan expressed excitement about returning to the show, saying he is looking forward to stepping back into the courtroom once again after the overwhelming response to the first season.
“I can’t believe I am saying this, but I am looking forward to going to court! I’m grateful for the love and appreciation the first season received,” he said. Speaking about his character Tyagi, Kishan added that the new season will see him striving to prove himself as a judge, though the task will not be easy.

“Here every case is serious, but the approach is completely unconventional. I can’t wait to welcome audiences back to the madness of Patparganj District Court,” he said, recalling the show’s popular line that the lawyers only wear black coats but do not have black hearts.
The upcoming season will also introduce new faces including Kusha Kapila and Dinesh Lal Yadav, who join returning cast members such as Anant Joshi and Anjum Batra.
The series, which first premiered on Netflix on March 1, 2024, is produced by Posham Pa Pictures. It is led by showrunner Sameer Saxena and directed by Rahul Pandey. The story is based on characters created by Saurabh Khanna and Kunal Anejal, with the new season written by Syed Shadan, Mohak Aneja and Tatsat Pandey.
Blending satire, heartfelt moments and courtroom comedy, the second season promises more entertaining twists and witty verdicts when it begins streaming soon on Netflix.
