Shivamogga boy identifies people by their feet; names over 150 without seeing faces

Shivamogga, Mar 9: Usually, we identify a person by looking at their face or hearing their voice. However, the talent of this boy from Shivamogga district is entirely different. He does not look at a person’s face or eyes; instead, he accurately identifies who the person is just by looking at their toes.

S. Bhuvan, an SSLC student studying at a private residential school in Gerupura of Hosanagara taluk, has now drawn the attention of the entire district with his unique memory power. A resident of Mangarshikoppa, Bhuvan has been studying in the same school since class 6.

Bhuvan’s skill is truly astonishing. On the school campus, he stands facing one direction while students or teachers line up behind him and stretch their feet between his legs. By observing the toes and the structure of the foot for just a moment, Bhuvan immediately tells the name of the person. Surprisingly, he does not identify just 10-20 people; instead, he recognizes more than 150 students of the school and all his teachers solely through their toes. Even when students hide their ID cards for fun or to test him and show only their feet, the names he says turn out to be 100 per cent accurate.

Just as our brain remembers facial features, Bhuvan’s brain records the minute differences in each person’s feet and the pattern of their toes. When asked how this is possible, the boy simply says, “When I see my friends’ feet, their names instantly flash in my mind.” Bhuvan, who is also very active in academics, is not only skilled in identifying people by their feet but is also performing well in his studies.

Teachers of the school have expressed pride in their student’s rare ability. “He may look like an ordinary boy, but the level of concentration and memory power Bhuvan possesses is beyond science. It is not easy to identify 150 children of our school without seeing their faces,” they said. Currently, videos of Bhuvan identifying names by looking at toes are going viral on social media, with netizens calling him a ‘human biometric scanner’. Everyone hopes that Bhuvan’s special talent will grow to greater heights.
