Mangaluru, Mar 10: A 32-year-old youth from Talapady, who was critically injured after falling from a building while installing an air conditioner in Bengaluru, passed away on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Harshith Poojary, son of Vishwanath and Meenakshi, residents of Talapady.

Harshith had been working in the shipping industry abroad for the past three years. He would return home every three months on vacation and often took up his original profession as an AC mechanic during his breaks. Recently, he had travelled to Bengaluru to provide AC mechanism training to a relative.

While installing an AC unit in a multi-storey building in Bengaluru, Harshith accidentally lost his balance and fell, sustaining severe injuries. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Bengaluru, where his condition was reported to be critical.

On March 7, as he was being shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for further advanced treatment, he reportedly breathed his last on the way.

The funeral of the deceased took place on Monday. Harshith is survived by his parents, wife, a brother, and a two-year-old daughter.

Very sad. May his soul rest in peace. I am sorry to say that in India there is no value for human lives. I appeal to youngsters to go to Western countries; you will have a better life.
