Kaup: Two brothers arrested for murder of elderly woman in Manipura

Kaup, Mar 10: Two brothers have been arrested for the murder of an elderly woman in Manipura here.

The arrested have been identified as Praveen Mendonca and Valerian Mendonca. The brothers would occasionally consume alcohol with one of their neighbours, identified as Vanaja Poojarthi (60).

Between 5 pm on Monday, March 9, and 7 am on Tuesday, March 10, over a trivial issue, Valerian and Praveen allegedly attacked Vanaja Poojarthi with a sharp instrument, resulting in her death.

A case has been registered at Kaup police station. A forensic team from KMC, the SoCO team, the dog squad, and fingerprint experts visited the spot and conducted the investigation.

    What a shame you two .Is it thats what you were taught in religion?To kill someone?And theft of gold?Cant you work and earn your own? Now repent it and ask family to forgive you.But have to go through the rules and a jail punishment is cant avoid.
