BCCI announces Rs 131 crore reward for T20 World Cup-winning Team India

Mumbai, Mar 10: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a cash reward of Rs 131 crore for India national cricket team following their triumphant campaign in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.

India clinched the prestigious title after defeating New Zealand national cricket team in the final held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With this victory, India successfully defended their title and became the first team in the history of the tournament to retain the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The win also marked a historic milestone as India became the first team to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup three times, further strengthening their reputation as one of the most successful sides in the shortest format of the game.

The BCCI congratulated the players, support staff and selectors for the remarkable achievement and wished the team continued success in future international tournaments.
