Mangaluru: Srinivas University’s IPSLM hosts ‘Sanskriti Canvas’

Mangaluru, Mar 12: The Institute of Port Shipping and Logistics Management (IPSLM), under Srinivas University, successfully organized the 'Sanskriti Canvas' competition on February 26.

The event aimed to encourage students to artistically express the culture, heritage, traditions, festivals, monuments, folk art, dress, and lifestyle of various states of India. The competition was open to all students of the institution, and a total of 15 students actively participated. Participants showcased creativity and originality through hand-drawn artworks using pencil, colour pencil, crayons, watercolour, and poster colours. The artworks reflected rich cultural diversity and artistic excellence.

The competition was evaluated by Dr Seema P V, assistant professor, Institute of Education; and Prof Ashwini K, assistant professor, Institute of Port Shipping and Logistics Management. 

The judges appreciated the originality, creativity, theme relevance, and presentation skills of the participants.

Winners

• First place: Sadaya K, I year D section, BBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management

• Second place: Prajwal M, I year D section, BBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management

The programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of:

• Prof Souparnika, head of the department, IPSLM

The Sanskriti Canvas competition provided a platform for students to exhibit their artistic talents and deepen their appreciation of India’s cultural richness. The programme concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from students and faculty members.
