Sacred Heart College alumni hosts 'Career Compass' talk to guide final-year students

Beltangady, Mar 12: The Alumni Association of Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar organized a resourceful talk titled 'Career Compass: Navigating Choices, Challenges & Opportunities' on March 12 in the college auditorium. The session was specially arranged for the final year degree students with the objective of guiding them in making informed career decisions and preparing them for future opportunities.

The programme began with a warm welcome address by Robin Sera, lecturer in commerce, who also introduced the resource person to the gathering. In his introduction, he highlighted the achievements of the speaker and expressed happiness that the session was being led by one of the proud alumni of the institution.

The resource person, Dr Paul D’Souza, associate professor at the School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy, St Aloysius University, Mangaluru, and a proud alumnus of Sacred Heart College, delivered an insightful and engaging session. Through his talk, he guided students on the importance of making the right career choices, overcoming challenges, and identifying opportunities in the changing professional landscape. His session was informative, practical, and motivating, and the students greatly benefited from his experiences and valuable insights.

On this occasion, Prof Ishwara Gowda shared his experiences about the speaker. He fondly recalled that Dr Paul D’Souza had once been his student, and expressed his pride in seeing him grow into a successful academician and professional. His remarks added a personal and inspiring dimension to the programme.

The program was graced by the presence of Wilson Rupesh Moras, president of the Alumni Association, and Rozita Sera, secretary of the Alumni Association. Dr Prakash D’Souza, physical education director, and Prof Prakash Kramadhary, student welfare officer, were also present on the occasion along with faculty members and students.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Nelson Monis, director of the Alumni Association, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their presence and support in making the programme successful.
