Gwalior, Mar 14: Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia on Saturday accused the Indian National Congress of politicising issues unnecessarily, calling their allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party government “baseless” amid the ongoing West Asia crisis.
Speaking to the media during a visit to Guna, Scindia said that the Strait of Hormuz remains open and gas supplies to India have continued without disruption. He added that India maintains adequate stocks of petrol, diesel, and kerosene, and accused the Congress of attempting to gain political mileage from the situation.

“There is no crisis regarding the availability of petrol, diesel or kerosene in India. The Congress party is unnecessarily politicising the issue, whereas the country truly needs a positive outlook to strengthen the nation,” Scindia said.
During his visit, he conducted a public hearing to interact with citizens, address grievances, and direct officials for timely resolution. A total of 710 applications were received, out of which 98 grievances were resolved on the spot, while the remainder were forwarded to the respective departments with clear instructions for time-bound resolution.
Scindia emphasised that every application must be addressed, and for cases where resolution is not feasible, officials should provide specific reasons for the delay or inability to resolve the issue.
He instructed that matters concerning the Central government should be directed to his office, while state-related issues must be resolved through the Minister-in-Charge and local representatives.
The Union Minister also praised the district administration, particularly the Collector and Superintendent of Police, for successfully organising the hearing, noting that effective grievance redressal relies on strong coordination between elected representatives and administrative officials.
