Bangalore: Vincent Carlo, Roshan Ferrao Get 'Yuvakreedarathna' Sports Award

Bangalore, Mar 5: Bodybuilders Vincent Prakash Carlo and Roshan Ferrao from Mangalore have been conferred the 'Yuvakreedarathna' sports award - 2012 at Town Hall, here.

Both Vincent and Roshan were felicitated by Padmashree Dr B R Shetty, Abu Dhabi, on Saturday March 3.

The sports award ceremony was jointly organized by Sports Foundation and sports magazine 'Yuvakreedangana'.

The duo was awarded with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 25, 000.

Vincent Prakash Carlo, a resident of Bajjodi, Mangalore works in the State Excise Department and is also the honorary physical trainer at Silvas Gym, Kalpane.

Roshan Ferrao, a resident of Ranipura, Mangalore, works at MESCOM.

Both Roshan and Vincent are champions in their field and have won several national and international competitions. In December 2011, Vincent won the gold in Commonwealth championship in London, while Roshan has been earlier adjudged Mr Asia Pacific.
