Ahmedabad, Mar 15: Indian golfer Saptak Talwar clinched the title at the Indorama Ventures Open Golf Championship 2026 after delivering a steady final-round performance of two-under 70 in the US$300,000 tournament that concluded on Sunday.

The win marked Talwar’s second professional title and earned him prize money of US$48,000 (Rs 43.2 lac). The victory also propelled him from 44th place to the top of the Order of Merit on the DP World PGTI.

Talwar, who represents the Jaypee Greens Golf Resort in Greater Noida, now leads the tour’s merit list with season earnings of Rs 46,00,200.

Talwar maintained steady progress during the final round, making the most of the par-5 holes with birdies on the fifth and eighth. Although he dropped a bogey on the ninth after finding water, he regained momentum with a crucial birdie on the par-5 14th, which helped him stay ahead of the field.
Reflecting on his victory, Talwar said the turning point came after his birdie on the 14th followed by a par on the 15th, which boosted his confidence. He also credited his improved ball control and experience gained from competing internationally on the HotelPlanner Tour for helping him refine his game.
Meanwhile, Ahmedabad-based golfer Dhruv Suri finished 61st with a total score of 18-over 306.
