Karkala: Bypoll - Race Hots up, CM Sadananda Gowda Joins Campaign

Karkala, Mar 5: Chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda joined BJP's poll campaign for the forthcoming Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha bypoll beginning from Hosmar in Edu village, near here on Monday March 5.
Sadananda Gowda addressed the party activists at the poll campaign held at Laxmi Venkatesh Mandir premises, Hosmar, here and later canvassed in the neighbourhood.
He paid a visit to BJP office here and then proceeded to poll campaign held at Anantapadmanabha temple, Perdoor in Udupi taluk. He held campaigns at Kulala Sangh premises, Shivapady Umamaheshwari temple, Manipal and Kudaladeshasta Gowda Samaj premises.
He also paid a visit to Venkataramana temple, Udupi and dined at the residence of BJP activist Shyamprasad Kudva.
Some of the local Congress activists were enrolled as members in block BJP committee during his visit.
State legislative assembly deputy speaker MLA Yogish Bhat, Udupi – Chikmagalur BJP candidate Sunil Kumar, Karkala block BJP president Maniraj Shetty, Udupi district BJP president Uday Kumar Shetty, MLA Raghupati Bhat, Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon, MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, BJP local leaders Jagdish Adikari, Bahubali Prasad and others were present.
