Initially, when Daijiworld contacted both the city crime branch police and the Bunder police station, the police remained tight-lipped and denied the news of arrest.

However, police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh told Daijiworld that two persons have been taken for interrogation and more are likely to be taken in the next few days.

The details would be revealed at a press meet to be held on Tuesday March 6, he added. The arrested are likely to be presented before the media during the press meet.

46-year-old Dinesh Raj was killed by four unidentified men on Tuesday February 14 at around 8 pm.

The assailants had barged into Kanchan Textiles, and attacked and killed him on the spot. They fled the scene immediately, and had been absconding since then.

Dinesh Raj who was married, was a resident of Bavanti street near Central Market.

At the time of the murder, Dinesh Raj's family had told a reporter at the spot that they did not suspect anyone as Dinesh did not have any enemy.

The attackers spoke in Kannada as per the eyewitnesses Deepak and Vijay.

Finally they caught two guys and I hope other two are also caught. They should get life sentence without bail. Nobody knows why they killed Dinesh Raj.

There should be breakthrough and arrest of culprits....otherwise public loose faith on police force. What annoying/disturbing factor for us was frequent incident of cold blooded murders in the heart Mangalore City. This should be stopped permanently.Police effort in nabbing the culprits? appreciated
