Panaji, Mar 21: Preparations for the upcoming Shirgao Jatra are gathering pace, with authorities intensifying efforts to ensure all arrangements are completed well ahead of the annual event.

MLA Premendra Shet stated that all departments concerned have been instructed to finish pending works by April 10, setting a clear timeline for readiness.

Meanwhile, the North Goa District Magistrate held a review meeting with the temple committee and officials from multiple departments to assess the progress of preparations. Discussions focused on key areas such as infrastructure, sanitation, traffic regulation, and public safety, aiming to ensure smooth and safe conduct of the festival.
