Mangaluru, Mar 25: CA Shantharama Shetty has been re-elected as the chairman of the Dakshina Kannada district unit of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) for the 2026–2029 term.

In the elections held for the executive committee, Dr B Sachidananda Rai was elected as the vice-chairman, while Gurudatta Nayak took charge as the treasurer. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner’s office on Tuesday, where DC Darshan H V, who serves as the president of the district Red Cross unit, administered the oath to the newly elected board members and extended his best wishes.

The newly elected committee includes CA Shantharama Shetty, Dr B Sachidananda Rai, Gurudatta Nayak, Dr Satish Rao, Yatish Baikampady, Pushparaj Jain, Dr Sumana B, and P B Harish Rai.

Notably, this marks CA Shantharama Shetty’s fourth consecutive term as the chairman of the Dakshina Kannada district unit. He also currently serves as a member of the National Management Body of the Indian Red Cross Society in New Delhi.
