Mayawati to Resign as UP Chief Minister

Lucknow, Mar 6 (IANS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati was expected to reach Raj Bhavan here Tuesday at 3.30 p.m. to submit her resignation to Governor B.L. Joshi, official sources said.

This follows her Bahujan Samaj Party's defeat in the assembly elections.
