Kundapur: Cattle theft accused re-arrested for violating bail conditions

Kundapur, Mar 26: Police have re-arrested a cattle theft accused for violating bail conditions in Kundapur.

The accused has been identified as Abubakkar (48), a resident of Gulwadi village’s Kudru Road area. He had earlier secured bail in a cattle theft case registered at the Kundapur Rural police station.

Police said the accused, who is also identified as a rowdy-sheeter, allegedly got involved in a similar offence after being released on bail. Taking note of the violation, police brought the matter to the court’s attention.

Subsequently, the court cancelled his bail and issued orders for his arrest. Acting on the directive, Kundapur Rural police took him into custody and produced him before the court, which remanded him to judicial custody till April 7.
