Udupi: Man suffering from depression goes missing, case registered

Udupi, Mar 27: A 54-year-old man suffering from depression has been reported missing from Belapu area under Shirva police limits.

The missing person has been identified as B Chandrashekhar Rao, a resident of Badikeri House, Belapu. He left his residence on the morning of March 25, wearing a black pant and a half-sleeve white shirt, on a scooter bearing registration number KA 20 2652, heading from Ayyappanagar towards Belapu. However, he did not return home, raising concern among family members.

Rao, who was unmarried, had been suffering from depression for the past five years and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Deralakatte, sources said.

Based on a complaint filed by his brother B Gopalakrishna, a case has been registered at Shirva police station.

Authorities have urged the public to provide any information regarding the missing person.
