EGDK India CSR initiative strengthens healthcare with ECG machines for DK

Mangaluru, Mar 31: In a significant step towards strengthening public healthcare infrastructure, ECG machines were formally handed over to the district health office, Dakshina Kannada (DK), under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of EGDK India Private Limited.

The formal handover ceremony was held on March 31 at the office of the district health officer. Anand Fernandes, chief executive officer of EGDK India Private Limited, symbolically handed over the ECG machines to Dr H R Thimmaiah, district health and family welfare officer, Dakshina Kannada.

The initiative was implemented by Utkarsh, which played a key role in facilitating the programme. Arundathi Hegde, programme manager of Utkarsh, was also present during the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives emphasized that the provision of ECG machines will enhance early diagnosis and timely treatment of cardiac conditions in government healthcare facilities across the district. The initiative reflects a collaborative effort between the corporate sector and social organizations to improve access to quality healthcare services for the community.

The district health officer expressed appreciation for the support extended by EGDK India Private Limited and Utkarsh, noting that such contributions significantly strengthen the capacity of public health institutions.

The programme concluded with a shared commitment to continue such impactful collaborations in the future.
