South Goa, Mar 31: A 22-year-old ???? lost his life in a tragic hit-and-run accident late Tuesday at Assolda in Curchorem, sending shockwaves through the local community.
The deceased, Uttapal Naik, a resident of Sanvordem, was travelling on a two-wheeler when a car allegedly driven under the influence of alcohol crashed into the vehicle, according to police.
The impact of the collision was severe, leading to Naik’s death. The pillion rider, who was also on the two-wheeler, sustained injuries and was rushed to the Goa Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
Police from Quepem Police acted promptly and have arrested the driver involved in the incident. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
