Dubai: Preparations for Gurukiran Nite in Full Swing, Tickets on Sale

Dubai, Mar 7: Active preparations are in progress to host ‘Gurukiran Musical Show’ in Dubai on March 23 at 6 pm at Al Nasr Leisureland, Ice Rink, Dubai wherein Gurukiran, a well-known singer-composer will arrive with his thirty-member troupe consisting of singers, musicians, mimicry artists, film personalities to entertain the music lovers of UAE. The show has been arranged by Noel D’Almeida.

A meeting was arranged at Fortune Plaza Hotel, Ghusais recently with Gurukiran as chief guest along with many community members of different associations of Karnataka in UAE.  Those on the dais included president of Devadigara Sangha, Harish Sherigar, Dayan D’Souza of Daiji Rang Mandir, Herman Lewis of Radio Spice and Noel D’Almeida who requested complete support from Kannadigas in UAE for the success of the programme. MC Uttam Menezes hosted the meeting which began with a prayer. 

The tickets for the show were released by Gurukiran during the meeting and distributed to various channels of sale.
 
Other than the musical team, various film personalities like Komal Kumar, hero of Kannada film industry and brother of comedy actor Jaggesh will be part of the show.  Komal Kumar is a famous comedian in Sandalwood, currently in the lead role in "Chamkaysi Chindi Udaysi".

Another Sandalwood film star, Parul Yadav, has also agreed to be part of the show along with Kannada playback singers Chethan, Chitra, Malgudi Shubha (Hindi/Kannada/Telugu playback singer) who sings like Usha Uthup, popular mimicry artiste Dayanand, VJ/MC Anushree from Bangalore, drummer Devanand and of course Gurukiran himself. VJ Anushree, Zee TV's latest female find started her career as a VJ on Namma TV in Mangalore and went on to feature in prominent shows like Comedy Khiladigalu and Twenty-Twenty Comedy Cup, Namasthe Kasturi etc.
 
Malgudi Shubha is an Indian playback singer who has recorded songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. She counts Usha Uthup among her role models. Her first successful album, Chikpak Chikbhum, which was released in Chennai, sold eight lakh copies. She has also appeared as a judge on the Malayalam language music competition programme Idea Star Singer.  South-Indian actress Priyamani is her niece.

Parul Yadav, an up-and-coming famous actress in South Indian movies, given the response her Kannada song has received, says she can’t help but sing ‘Pyaarge aagbittaithe namdukke pyaarge aagbittaithe…’ to her fast growing fan base in Karnataka.

Magic of Kannada film industry is guaranteed to fill the evening with superb soul stirring music, songs, style and performances by Gurukiran and his troupe who will rock the stage at Al Nasr Leisureland, Dubai with the choicest selection of energetic Kannada, Tulu, Hindi, Konkani, music and dance tunes, as revealed by the organisers. Mimicry artist Dayanand will send the audience into splits of laughter and drummer Devananda has promised a new experience to Dubai audience with his unique solo performance in between the songs.

The show which will be presented by Sapil, is expected to be a houseful event and tickets are already on sale at various locations throughout UAE.

    Tina your knowledge of reading is very weak the personnels you mentioned opined their views and they never said without them the show will not go on. Why you are taking the things from pillar to post. They rightly said its lent season and organizer isa a Catholic. Wish all the best to the show.

    Tina, number of comments shows the will be house full or not, however Peter/Felix only expressed their views,being a catholic i too agree with them, and organizer is a Catholic. why are you so offensive, its a season of Lent. Peace

    Mr. Peter Crasto, Mulki/Dubai you are 100% right. This event should have been after the Holy Lent season.Maybe this event was booked long back or maybe Al Nasr Leisureland, Ice Rink, Dubai was already booked by someone else or the artists and the organizers were were already engaged with other shows.
