Mangaluru, Apr 3: Kinya gram panchayat in Ullal taluk has been selected for the prestigious Gandhi Grama Puraskar for the year 2024-25.
The award recognizes the panchayat's outstanding performance in rural development and effective implementation of government schemes. According to an official release, this achievement is the result of the consistent efforts of former president Malini, vice-president Farooq Kinya, and all the members of the panchayat.
The collaborative work of panchayat development officer (PDO) Tulasi P, secretary Vanishri, the dedicated staff, and the active cooperation of the local villagers played a vital role in securing this recognition. The selection of Kinya gram panchayat as a 'Gandhi Grama' awardee has been widely appreciated by the residents of the taluk.
