Bantwal: Police crack two-wheeler theft case; two held, scooter recovered

Bantwal, Apr 6: Bantwal Town police have cracked a two-wheeler theft case reported within their jurisdiction, arresting two accused and recovering the stolen vehicle.

According to police, the incident occurred on March 21, 2026, when a scooter parked in the shed of a residence at Parlia was stolen.

A case was registered as Crime No. 37/2026 under Section 303(2) of the BNS, 2023, following which an investigation was launched by Bantwal Town police.

During the course of the probe, the police arrested Hasan Bava (55), a resident of Sajip Munnur in Bantwal, and Mohammed Irshad (37), a resident of B Mooda in Bantwal.

The stolen scooter, estimated to be worth approximately Rs 50,000, has been recovered and seized from the accused.
