Netanyahu vows continued offensive as Israel targets senior Iranian commanders

Daijiworld Media Network - Jerusalem

Jerusalem, Apr 6: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday asserted that Israel will continue its military offensive against Iran with full force across all fronts until its objectives are achieved and perceived threats are neutralised.

Netanyahu’s remarks came as he confirmed the killing of senior members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), including intelligence chief Majid Khademi and Asghar Bagheri, who led Unit 840 of the Quds Force. He described the operations as a major blow to what he termed Iran’s “terror network.”

In a statement, Netanyahu said Israel would pursue anyone involved in attacks against its citizens, warning of severe consequences for those linked to what he called the “Iranian axis of evil.” He emphasised that Israeli forces are acting with determination and would continue operations until all war objectives are fulfilled.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also confirmed the killings, stating that Majid Khademi played a key role in planning international operations and overseeing internal surveillance in Iran. It further alleged that Bagheri had been involved in directing attacks against Israeli targets globally and along the Syrian border.

In a separate development, the IDF said it had earlier eliminated Mohammad Reza Ashrafi Kahi, described as the head of commerce at the IRGC’s oil headquarters in Tehran. According to the IDF, he managed significant financial operations that supported Iran’s military capabilities and allied groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis.

The developments mark a further escalation in tensions between Israel and Iran, with both sides increasingly engaging in direct and indirect confrontations across the region.
