Mangaluru, Apr 7: Expert Group of Institutions, Mangaluru, a trusted name in pre-university education and competitive exam coaching, has warned of stringent legal action against entities and individuals misusing its brand name.
In a press release, Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman of the Expert Group, clarified that the institution is registered under the Trademarks Act, 1999. He emphasised that apart from its established campuses in Mangaluru, the institution does not have any official branches or extension centers in any other part of the state.
Under the Expert Group of Institutions, only the following entities are operational: Expert PU College (Valachil and Kodialbail), Expert Publishing House, Expert Coaching Classes, Expert Postal Coaching, Expert E-Learn, and Expert Edufront Private Limited. All these units function exclusively from Valachil or Kodialbail in Mangaluru.

Misleading names causing confusion
The institution noted that several coaching centers and educational firms have surfaced in various parts of the state using names similar to 'Expert' or 'New Expert'. The management has categorically stated that Mangaluru’s Expert Group of Institutions has no association with such entities.
Prof Narendra L Nayak urged parents and students to be cautious, as these similar-sounding names are likely to cause confusion and mislead the public. He clarified that the Expert Group would not be held responsible for any consequences, financial or academic, arising from admissions or dealings with such unauthorized institutions.
Warning against trademark infringement
"Strict legal action will be initiated under the Trademarks Act against those who use the 'Expert' name, logo, or falsely project themselves as branches or extension units of our institution," Prof Nayak warned. Public and students are advised to verify the authenticity through official channels before proceeding with admissions.
