Mangaluru, Apr 8: A young man reportedly jumped into the Gurupura river from the bridge on Wednesday, April 8 evening.
The youth has been identified as Kowshik, a resident of Kaje Padavu.
According to sources, Kowshik arrived at the bridge on his scooter around 6:45 pm. He parked the vehicle on the bridge before jumping into the river.
Upon receiving information, the Bajpe police rushed to the spot and conducted an initial inquiry.
A search operation has been launched to locate the youth.
The reason behind his extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
