Mangaluru, Apr 10: A press meet was held on Friday to announce the upcoming launch of the Aerodynamiks Drone Training Academy at Alva’s College, Moodbidri. The academy, approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), is set to be officially launched on April 14.
The Aerodynamiks Drone Training Academy is a state-of-the-art Remote Pilot Training Organisation aimed at providing professional training in drone operations, aerial technology, and unmanned aviation systems. The initiative is focused on creating skilled and certified drone pilots to meet the rising demand in the rapidly growing drone industry.


Drones are increasingly being used across sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, surveillance, photography, disaster management, logistics, and defence, highlighting the need for trained professionals in the field.
The academy will offer comprehensive training programmes based on DGCA guidelines, combining theoretical knowledge with practical flying sessions using advanced drones and simulation technology. It will also provide certification programmes, career guidance, and placement support for students.
Speaking at the press meet, managing director Deviprasad Shetty of Aerodynamiks Aviation Pvt Ltd said that the academy aims to become a centre of excellence in aviation technology. He emphasized that the drone industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors and that the academy will focus on developing responsible and skilled drone professionals.
The official launch on April 14 is expected to be attended by elected representatives, aviation enthusiasts, industry professionals, academicians, and invited guests from various sectors. The academy is the first of its kind in Dakshina Kannada district and is expected to open new career opportunities in the region.
