Former AAP Goa chief Amit Palekar joins Congress

Panaji, Apr 10: Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa chief Amit Palekar on Friday joined the Indian National Congress along with his supporters.

He was inducted into the party in the presence of AICC Goa Desk in-charge Manikrao Thakare and other senior leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, Palekar described the moment as emotional, saying he felt “butterflies in the stomach” as he entered the Congress fold.

He clarified that he has not sought any position in the party and expressed willingness to take up any responsibility assigned by the leadership.

Palekar also underlined his commitment to strengthening the party at the grassroots level in Goa.
