Beltangady: Out-of-control car rams four pedestrians; woman critically injured in Kodabailu crash

Beltangady, Apr 12: A speeding Omni car went out of control and rammed into four pedestrians, leaving a woman critically injured in a horrific road accident reported from Kodabailu in Beltangady taluk on Sunday afternoon.

According to reports, two women and two children had alighted from a Bolero jeep and were walking along the roadside when the incident unfolded.

The Omni, reportedly being driven at high speed, lost control at a sharp bend, overturned and suddenly veered onto the group of pedestrians.

While two children and one woman miraculously escaped without injuries, another woman was trapped beneath the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.

She was immediately rushed to Beltangady hospital in an autorickshaw by locals who rushed to the scene. The terrifying visuals of the crash have been captured on CCTV camera.
