Iran warns of action against military vessels near Hormuz amid ceasefire

Daijiworld Media Network - Tehran

Tehran, Apr 13: Iran’s Revolutionary Guards on Sunday warned that any military vessels attempting to approach the Strait of Hormuz would be treated as a violation of the ongoing two-week ceasefire with the United States and would face a strong and decisive response.

In a statement carried by Iranian state media, the Guards said the strategic waterway remains under the control and “smart management” of Iran’s Navy.

They further clarified that the Strait of Hormuz remains open for the safe passage of non-military vessels, provided they comply with specified regulations.

The warning comes amid heightened tensions in the region following recent developments in the US-Iran standoff and concerns over the stability of global energy routes.
