Dubai, Mar 8 : A much awaited Alliance cup tournament ended here in Hamriya Sports and cultural centre by Nafees cricketers winning the alliance trophy and Alliance winning the runners  up. Tournament was held on 2nd March

The final match was between mighty nafees versus alliance. Alliance was put to bat by Nafees. All major wickets of Alliance fell within first few overs. Alliance captain and opener francis unusually came number  5 down . Francis built the score from 24 to 64 .Alliance was all out within 12 overs of 15 alloted overs for 64 runs. .Francis was notout  at onend and ran out of partners. Nafees too had to work hard to gain this victory which at one stage looked the match was equally poised with Nafees losing their 6 powerful batsmen and back to pavilion.However  they  reached home safe with 4 wickets in hand by some safe and steady batting.

Earlier in the day Nafees won their first match against strong devine team. The match was full of strokes filled.Devine however fell short of final strokes and lost. Second match was between Mogaveers versus alliance where alliance won comfortably.Alliance scored 74 whereas Mogaveers scored 61 at the end of allotted overs. Third match was between Coastal  cricketers  versus Shayaan club . Shayaan beat coastal in a rather close finish .

Tournament was attended by Mr Olvin Pinto (Ex Alstom and social worker ) and Izaz Of Ventures. Trophies and cash prizes were presented just  before  the end of the function to both winners .

Organizers thanked all teams who  participated and their cooperation.

In the meantime Alliance has announced  tournaments alliance Trophy no 2 and alliance 

Trophy no 3 will be held on on 13th april and 20th April in Sharjahs Prestigeous Grass ground pitch. Teams are invited to send their interest via Email :     nss20180@hotmail.com or call M=0553341714. Alliance will be choose the final teams based on entries.
