Hyderabad, Apr 22: Sunrisers Hyderabad continued their winning momentum with a commanding 47-run victory over Delhi Capitals in the 31st match of the ongoing Indian Premier League on Tuesday.

The standout performer was Abhishek Sharma, who smashed an unbeaten 135 off 68 balls, guiding SRH to a massive total of 242/— in their 20 overs. Opening the innings, the left-hander batted through the entire innings in a remarkable display of power hitting.

With this knock, Abhishek registered his fourth 130-plus score in T20 cricket, surpassing the previous record jointly held by Aaron Finch and Chris Gayle, who had achieved the feat three times each in their careers. Notably, Abhishek reached this milestone in just 188 matches.

Abhishek’s consistency in the format has been striking. Since scoring his maiden T20 century in 2021, he has hit at least one century every year except 2022. The year 2025 proved particularly prolific, with three centuries to his name. Significantly, his last four hundreds have all been scores of 130 or more, underlining his ability to convert starts into big innings.

His highest T20 scores include 135 against England in February 2025, 141 against Punjab Kings in April 2025, 148 against Bengal in November 2025, and the latest unbeaten 135 against Delhi Capitals.

The victory marked a hat-trick of wins for SRH, who had earlier struggled with three losses in their first four matches. With regular captain Pat Cummins expected to return for the upcoming clash against Rajasthan Royals on April 25, the team will look to further strengthen their campaign and push for a playoff spot.
