Israeli forces target militants across multiple fronts

Daijiworld Media Network - Jerusalem

Jerusalem, Apr 26: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced a series of operations targeting militants across Gaza and southern Lebanon, including the killing of an individual involved in the October 7 infiltration into Israeli territory.

In a statement shared on X, the IDF said it, along with the Shin Bet, eliminated several operatives linked to planned attacks. Among them was a militant who had crossed into Israel during the October 7 assault, an event widely associated with large-scale violence carried out by Hamas.

Separately, Israeli forces reported locating a cache of anti-tank missiles attributed to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

Troops from the 146th Division also carried out strikes on infrastructure allegedly used by the group, including facilities linked to its Radwan Force unit and a storage site for combat equipment.

The IDF further stated that its air force intercepted an aerial object approaching from Lebanon after warning sirens were activated in northern Israel. Additional strikes were conducted on Hezbollah-linked launch sites in areas such as Dir al-Zahrani, Kafr Reman, and Al-Sa'miya.

In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli forces identified a vehicle carrying armed militants believed to be preparing imminent attacks. The IDF said the group was targeted in an airstrike to neutralize the threat.

According to the military, operations in the southern command area are ongoing and aligned with existing arrangements, with a continued focus on preventing immediate security threats.
