Barkur man goes missing under mysterious circumstances in Brahmavar

Brahmavar, Apr 28: A 42-year-old man from Barkur has gone missing under mysterious circumstances, prompting a police investigation in Brahmavar.

The missing person has been identified as Pratap Kumar Shetty, who had reportedly left his home on April 7, stating that he was heading to Bengaluru for work.

According to sources, he was last seen on April 13 at a shop in Guddeyangadi, where he had carried out a transaction. Subsequently, his belongings — including his pants, shirt, footwear, and mobile phone — were found placed on a rock along the banks of the Kaduru stream.

Search operations were carried out with the help of professional divers, but no trace of him has been found so far.

A case has been registered at the Brahmavar police station, and further investigation is underway.
