PSG’s Achraf Hakimi to miss UCL semi-final second leg due to hamstring injury

Daijiworld Media Network – Paris

Paris, Apr 30: Paris Saint-Germain have been dealt a major setback ahead of their UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich, with defender Achraf Hakimi set to miss the clash due to injury.

According to reports, the 27-year-old Moroccan full-back sustained a hamstring tear following a challenge during the first leg, with scans confirming the extent of the injury.

Hakimi’s absence comes as a significant blow for PSG coach Luis Enrique, who has relied heavily on the defender this season. The right-back has been a regular starter, featuring in 28 of his 31 appearances across competitions, contributing three goals and nine assists.

Young midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery is expected to step in at right-back for the crucial fixture at the Allianz Arena next week.

This will mark another key match Hakimi misses due to injury, having also been sidelined earlier in the season following a setback during the group stage against Bayern Munich.
