Mangaluru, May 6: Strengthening its presence in coastal Karnataka, Bank of Maharashtra on Wednesday May 6, inaugurated its new branch at Old Port Road, located on the ground floor of D. No. 36, Indian Red Cross Centenary Building, DC Office Compound, Mangaluru.
The branch was formally inaugurated by Capt Brijesh Chowta, Member of Parliament, Dakshina Kannada, in the presence of several distinguished guests and dignitaries. Among the chief guests were J Krishna Palemar, former minister, government of Karnataka, and CA Shantaram Shetty, chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, Dakshina Kannada.





























The event also witnessed the inauguration of the ATM facility by CA Shantaram Shetty, while Allen C A Pereira inaugurated the storage rooms. The ceremony was attended by Shilpa S Shetty, branch manager, and Dr Sabirali Shaikh, zonal manager, Hubballi Zone, along with other officials and invitees.
Speaking on the occasion, Capt Brijesh Chowta extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Bank of Maharashtra team and conveyed his best wishes for the new branch. He emphasised the importance of customer-centric banking and encouraged the bank to deliver excellent services while contributing to the region’s economic growth.
In his address, CA Shantaram Shetty expressed confidence in the bank’s future success. He highlighted that customer satisfaction is the key to growth and appreciated the bank’s commitment to serving the community, adding that happy customers are the foundation for sustained progress.
With this launch, Bank of Maharashtra has marked its 10th branch in Mangaluru and expanded its network to 103 branches across Karnataka, reflecting its steady growth and commitment to financial inclusion.
The newly inaugurated branch offers a wide range of customer-focused products and services, including housing loans, car loans, professional loans for CAs, engineers, and architects, gold loans, GST-linked credit schemes for entrepreneurs, MSME and agriculture loans, and loan-against-property options. The bank also provides specialised services such as NRI banking, salary accounts, insurance services, and investment schemes like PPF, Sukanya Samriddhi, and senior citizen schemes.
Additionally, customers can benefit from modern banking solutions such as the Zen Lyfe app, internet banking, and UPI QR code facilities, ensuring seamless digital banking experiences.
Recurring deposit schemes such as Mahalakhpati and Mahamilionaire, along with savings plans like Mahasanchay and Mahasaraswati for children, further highlight the bank’s diverse financial offerings.
