New Delhi, May 7: IndiGo on Thursday announced that it will begin commercial flight operations from Noida International Airport starting June 15, 2026, becoming the first airline to operate from the newly inaugurated airport.
The airline said it will gradually introduce direct services connecting the airport to more than 16 destinations across the country. These routes will include major metro cities such as Bengaluru and Hyderabad, along with several tier-2 and tier-3 cities including Amritsar, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Jaipur, Lucknow, Navi Mumbai, Pantnagar, and Srinagar.

The airline stated that ticket bookings are being opened in phases through its official website, mobile application, and authorised travel partners.
Speaking on the development, Aloke Singh, Chief Strategy Officer of IndiGo, said the airport’s strategic location along the Yamuna Expressway would make it an important gateway for western Uttar Pradesh and the wider National Capital Region.
He added that major Indian metropolitan regions are increasingly evolving to support multiple airports, and IndiGo is proud to operate across all three airports serving the NCR — Indira Gandhi International Airport, Hindon Airport, and now Noida International Airport.
Among India’s largest greenfield airport projects, Noida International Airport has been designed to become a major hub for both domestic and future international travel. The airport aims to provide integrated multi-modal connectivity through extensive road and rail infrastructure linking Delhi-NCR with western Uttar Pradesh.
The first phase of the airport project has been developed at an investment of approximately Rs 11,200 crore under a public-private partnership model. Initially, the airport will be capable of handling 12 million passengers annually, with plans to expand capacity to 70 million passengers per year after full development.
