Mangaluru, May 8: In the recent Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) level sports event, the men’s hockey team of St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru performed well and won laurels for the college under the guidance of PED, Vanisha V Rodrigues and assistant PED, Sudheer M SJEC men’s hockey team emerged as winners in the VTU Mangaluru Division Hockey Tournament held at SCEM, Adyar on May 7.
The winning squads featured talented players from UG programmes:
Akshay (6th sem CSE), Reeve, Srujan & Tiron (6th sem ECE), Joshua (6th sem Mech), Praveen (6th sem CSBS), Shreesha & Rohith (4th sem CSE), Keerthan S Kotian (4th sem EEE), Gagan Bajpe, Yogesh & Shreepathi (4th sem Mech) and Hanamappa D H (2nd sem ECE).
The management of SJEC congratulated the winning team and the physical education directors for this tremendous achievement in the university level tournament.
