Dubai, May 8: Dubai has opened a newly upgraded beach destination at Al Mamzar, featuring women-only beach access, 24-hour night swimming facilities and modern recreational amenities as part of the city’s wider coastal development initiative.
The newly launched Khor Al Mamzar beach project was officially inaugurated by Dubai Municipality on May 5 under the larger AED 500 million Al Mamzar Beaches redevelopment programme.

Spread across nearly 2.75 million square feet, the beach project aims to provide safer, more accessible and modern public spaces for residents and tourists alike.
One of the key highlights of the redevelopment is a dedicated women-only beach section designed to ensure privacy, comfort and security.
The exclusive area includes strict no-photography and no-camera rules, along with trained female lifeguards stationed at the site to create a more relaxed environment for women visitors.
Officials said the initiative is intended to offer a peaceful and secure beach experience while encouraging more women and families to enjoy public waterfront spaces.
Apart from the women-only zone, the upgraded beach also features facilities for night swimming, water sports and leisure activities.
Several cafes and waterfront dining spaces have also been developed as part of the project, providing visitors with additional recreational options along the coastline.
According to local reports, the beach redevelopment forms part of Dubai’s larger vision to transform its public beaches into world-class lifestyle destinations with a strong focus on safety, luxury and accessibility.
