PMO Now on YouTube

New Delhi, Mar 12 (IANS): Having successfully ventured into social media to connect with on-the-go generation, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's office has now forayed into video website YouTube.

Manmohan Singh's address at a meet on the United Progressive Alliance government's flagship Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA) programme was the first video upload by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Saturday, according to sources in the PMO.

The PMO had got into social networking website Facebook and microblogging site Twitter recently, a move seen as the impact of television media personality Pankaj Pachauri joining as communications adviser to the prime minister earlier this year.

The YouTube channel of the Indian PMO will be PMOfficeIndia.
